A handsome chappie! I look forward to comparing notes about bitten hands/fingers with you!

Is that your finger in the photo, Del?Foiled! Jurek has spotted the truth. Indi is, in fact, a deformed canary.
Hope you've got plenty of toys and chews...I have lots of both. I might let the dog have some as well. ;D
GSD black long hair
We have a pair of Dyson vacs and a carpet cleaning machine but we won't need those until later as where he is enclosed is wood or concrete floor, and the back garden. :thumbsup:GSD black long hair
Hope you've got a good hoover :)
He looks like a nice dog.
Result! Getting caught in the act of defecation and gently put outside now means that he has excused himself to the garden for relief(*) a further three times.
* Not executive relief. ::-)
Edit: weighs in at 8.5kg.
Hope all's going well with looking after Indi - the hard work only lasts about a month, then it gets a bit easier! So far it's been fairly easy. He mostly gets outside for his toilet but sometimes only gets as far as the conservatory, in which case we silently clean the mess. When he does "go" outside he gets lots of praise. He sleeps, or is very quiet, overnight too.
are you full-time Puppy-sitting? When is Indi out and about? Not full time, long days though. Training is going well and he's not biting so much.
Poppy would make a light snack for Indi. ;DIt wouldn't go down well with AH thobut. ::-)
Is he good natured apart from the pup-style biteyness?Yes he is. ;D
You could get him tagged, then he wouldn't need such a distinctive collar. We'd have a problem seeing him in the dark though. ::-)
We have a couple of spare Lupis and stuff like that for large dogs (lab sized) if you'd like them?'fonly 'twere offered yesterday!

I reckon it's time to introduce Indi to Morphy, Del.
How about coming round on Sunday morning and then wander down to the park? I could also show you my latest acquisition.I reckon it's time to introduce Indi to Morphy, Del.
What time/s are you at the Priory Park or would you like a home visit?
How about coming round on Sunday morning and then wander down to the park? I could also show you my latest acquisition.OK! Any particular time in mind? After 8 would be good for Indi.
The initial meeting between Morphy and Indi was quite amusing: Morphy did his usual trick of rushing enthusiastically to the front door to greet visitors (not a guard dog, ours) ...
wow he is growing fast!It seems like he is noticeably bigger every day! He is very much a GSD and is getting that shape as he grows into his fur. ::-)
I think this is my favourite so far.

You can't lick his balls! Unless you give him a biscuit. ;)I think this is my favourite so far. That is very adept juggling! ;D

Are you sure he's not a bear?He's most definitely a dog! A 19.5kg dog.
21" to top of shoulder and today he barked for the first time. A nice deep throaty bark, not loud though. He'd seen a weird* looking cat in the garden next door. After watching it for a couple of minutes he decided it was alien and barked.A cut and shut? ;D
* It was a scruffy thing. The front half was ginger and black spots and the rear half was dirty white and black spots.
I wanna bear like that!Waiting for hibernation after a light dusting overnight it snew'd while in the park this morning.
Just caught up with this, fab looking dog Del :thumbsup:At last someone recognises a dog and not a bear! ;)
;D Been out on your bike much?Just caught up with this, fab looking dog Del :thumbsup:At last someone recognises a dog and not a bear! ;)
;D Been out on your bike much? No! Not even the trainer for two weeks!
Benji tricked it into throwing itself off a cliff. ::-)Did he trick him into digging it out first?
How old is he now?Five months old now.
He is turning into a very, very handsome dog. Will he keep his fluffy look, do you think? He's losing the fluff as his adult coat grows. However, we have lots of it all over the house!
Does he enjoy his training?
Weighed Poppy yesterday. She's 6kg at seven months.Indi is 26kg at five months.

Morphy is about 29kg at 6 years 9 months.:P We met an 80kg St. Bernard today
I'm about 13st 10 and nearly 47.I'm sure The Current Mrs. R thinks you're cute though! ::-)
Hey Del, wanna bring Indi to play with Poppy?Once I've got him used to trains I'd love to bring him along. Ask me later in the year.
You got a smaller plant pot ? nono I got it now it is a new ball, I'm right aren't I ? What do I win, what do I win, tell me.Congratulations woolly, you win the washing up for a fortnight. A PM on it's way to Peli. :-*
That is no f#beep#ing use, I all ready do the washing up :)You got a smaller plant pot ? nono I got it now it is a new ball, I'm right aren't I ? What do I win, what do I win, tell me.Congratulations woolly, you win the washing up for a fortnight. A PM on it's way to Peli. :-*
He looks like a proper grown-up dog already! It's hard to treat him, even think of him, as a puppy sometimes.
^^^ Oh bless him! That's one pi55ed off looking dog. Hope you feel better in the morning Indi! He's happy enough and he now does vacuum cleaner impressions and his floor standing lamp is excellent.
My old charge's dog worked out that if you ran fast into the bushes it broke the cone of shame off ::-). She did it the second she managed to sneak out every time >:(.This one is still going strong, albeit with a few scars, creases and teeth marks. It's a sturdy design which stops him dead if he bumps it on door frames and garden tubs.
Back at home ;D, sans nads :'(, plus Cone of Shame! :-[Poppy's gearbox removal was only £170 and didn't need stitch removal as she had skin glue. I thought castrating was cheaper then spaying. Mind you, she's only about a sixth of the size of Indi.
Ten days for stitch removal, no walks and no unsupervised outside activity for a few days. No off lead walks until stitches out.
Only £227GBPSterlingpounds.
The castration was only £38 but it turns out that vets operate like Easyjet and add on extras. The little extras included anaesthetic, probably a good idea ;), operating room hire, post op painkillers/anti inflammatory drugs, The Cone of Shame and so on. Plus the umbilical hernia was sorted at the same time, six of the ten stitches are for that op,Only £227GBPSterlingpounds.Poppy's gearbox removal was only £170 and didn't need stitch removal as she had skin glue. Why did you have his nads off, delthebike? He'll be a calmer and happier dog and get a couple of extra years life.
Has everyone seen Up then?I would think that a lot of peo-SQUIRREL-ple have by now.
Were Goldilock's ancestors forebears?Forefathers from Forfar not far from the Firth of Fourth over the Fourth Bridge. Phone number was 4444444.
It's funny with dogs at the vets, it sometimes feels like "Yes I will allow you to do this if you must. But first chance I get, I'm outta here".He knows when he's close to the vets surgery and drags me in there. He usually takes his time to get out, he gets lots of fuss there, but today he couldn't wait to leave and dragged me out.
Bless 'im. Does he have a dog flap? Is that how he obtains mud in the wee small hours?
Does he need to be muzzled, Del?AH is correct it's a Halti. It stops him pulling, although he really strains the lead when he sees a cat in his path, and gives you more control of the head and the rest of the dog. He doesn't like wearing it and off the lead will rub his face and head in the earth and then my leg to try and get rid of it. ::-)
Gods, Poppy, Indi and Morphy, a YACF Doggy meet-up. ;DBalls! Lots of balls and AH can handle them too.
Yes, a camera is definitely needed, although it may be challenging spotting Poppy amongst the somewhat larger amounts of doggyness supplied by the other two!

I thought Morphy was the only one adequately endowed in the gonad department?

Big pic clicky (http://www.delthebike.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/images/leadsign.jpg).
Looking like a puppy again. Aw bless. :-*
Weighing slightly more than a puppy though, I suspect! He weighs the same as a puppy cos he is still a puppy! 32kg at last weigh in.

Invented a new game called StickBonk-BonkStick.

I thought bear-baiting was outlawed? ;)Bear baiting is but stickbonk-bonkstick isn't! ::-)
I just can't believe this is the same dog, less than ten months apart! That's because that puppy, on the left, is one of his fraternal siblings. :P

... The pictures below aren't always Indi as it was hard to tell sometimes as the puppies kept shifting about. ...
How are the rest of us supposed to tell! It's easy TimO! He's the black, long haired, GSD.
I think this thread has become some kind of alternate reality ;DThe grass is purpler over here. ;)
One year old on Friday.

Does he stand up in the right corner of that photo and look over the wire?He sits in that corner and looks over the wire fence. If, while looking, he sees a cat he charges the wire fence. That's why the square trellis is not complete.
And you have put the rubble / wood into the garden bed so when the weather is rubbish he doesn't get covered in mud ;DMud doesn't bother us, we just hose him down and towel dry. The wood hinders his digging to the Centre of the Earth! :hand:
Not difficult to see why GSDs make such good police dogs. It's because they are smart and not the least bit aggressive.
He probably shouldn't drink alcohol either. That's just silly! He's not old enough to drink!
Looks like fun!A (very) short camping trip.
Where are these "new woods" of which you speak?
Was that in the dark? The first shot looks like it was taken at night with a flash. At sunrise(ish) but the distance to the subject is different.
:PMy bare what? :o
How does he cope with being left alone del?The longest he's been alone was about 2 hours. No dramas or damage. He whines if he's left in the car while fuel is put in.
Your bear looks in fine fettle! :thumbsup:I was just thinking he looks like a dog now!
Indi appears to be smiling on quite a few of his pictures :DHe shows all his teeth when he accepts a segment of orange. The only dog I've known to eat them. ::-)
Aw he's so lovely Del. Like that last picture, "Try and get my good side Dad!"He's not so lovely when he sees C.A.T! :demon: ::-)

He does like the snow. ::-)

Who likes the snow? I can't see anything ... he's completely invisible.I captured a yeti while taking Indi for a walk. :P
One of my old bosses used to loose his black dog when taking him for walkies in the fields near his house, first thing in the morning, when it was still dark.
In the end, he got a childs hi-vis vest that he put on him, and that way he became much more visible!
I considered putting hi-vis velcro straps on Talisker in the past, and might have to think about doing the same with Zev (once she works out the complicated mystery called the cat-flap), since black cats, even with retroflective collars, aren't that easy to see.
... next the can opener, and you'll be redundant. ;DI'm safe as he has no opposable thumbs and I've just got an old fashioned stabby type can opener. ;D
Until I fix the watermark script, or get a new one, this'll be the last post here.I let the GIMP out!

Has he discovered the joy of Fox Poo yet? :hand:Not yet but he has indulged in unidentified corpse of something that died several weeks ago!

Is that stick-bonk-stick-bonk he's doing with that tree?If he followed the rules it would be! ;)
Can you start a thread with tortoise pictures?Your wish is my command.
Indi dropped his ball on a string into the brook today and paddled in to get it. He took his time about it too and he still has problems with breathing when his snout is under water! ::-)
I'm sorry he's lost his ball. Give him a big cuddle from me, once he's had his bath?I get new wellies soon so I might wade in and find it. He had a wet towel wiped around his muzzle! ::-)
I did sing him Happy Birthday Del! He's turned into a fine, handsome chap.
He shares a birthday with Shyumu.
I'm sorry he's lost his ball. Give him a big cuddle from me, once he's had his bath?
The cone of shame has come off then?Yes because Indi discovered how to circumvent that particular obstacle! He'd lay down, put the cone on the floor and hold it down with his irritated paw and lick away. It only needed to be on for an hour or so after applying the cream so we kept him amused. It's cleared up now and it just needs to regrow the shaved area to look normal again.
So what's wrong with his ears?A bit too much wax and probably knotty hair.
At least shaving his bikini line is kinder than waxing it. Tell him I said so.

I could do a stripe down his back and make him look like a giant skunk! 8) :demon:
