I left my bag in the pub last night.
I went back to get it at lunchtime.
They don't open on Thursday lunchtimes.  >:(

Use a skewer, that way your steam vent holes can go right into the core.

I left my bag in the pub last night.
And when going to get it back last evening, I saw a cyclist riding with no lights.  Not that unusual (unfortunately) except this was on an unlit, national speed limit road, with crud all over it at the moment from the rain last weekend, pot holes which seem to grow daily, and the occasional over hanging branch or bramble which gets knocked out of the hedge.
Idiot!

Poop. I seem to have managed to delete some track data from my GPS before I had copied it to my computer. It doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things but still annoying.

I take it that different-coloured hairs are better behaved, then?  ;)

Well I assume the oxygen content might affect the taste of tea, but I question whether anyone should be keeping fish in a kettle   ???

Quite right about reboiled water - it is due to the oxygen content. If you like grey muddy tea then boil the heck out of it but bright chestnutty flavoursome tea should be made with freshly crafted H20 that has barely had chance to vent it's steam.

You can keep fish in a kettle, but a fish kettle is generally for salmon. Which are DEAD. (but tasty)

wonders how different the oxygen concentration actually is between once and twice boiled water...

Well, reboiling water unnecessarily does use up energy.  Which, arguably, contributes to the acidification of rivers and seas.  Which, arguably, etc etc and tenuously might just possibly......

Anyhoo, I fail to see how anyone drinking Tetley's bogging sweepings off the floor and drownded in half a pint of cow juice would notice the difference  :demon:

Ah, I think I've worked it out:

Icky tea (because it's been made with needlessly re-boiled water, presumably because of some sort of thermal homeopathy) kills the fishes, because it's being discarded into their tank (or kettle, in the case of salmon)?

If you care about the providence of your tea water then empty & refill the kettle yourself IMHO!

Although I do hate the people who will open a BRAND new 4pt bottle of milk cos they decide the half empty one must be poisonous.  Milk doesn't last in our fridge long enough to go nasty FFS.
