Having been courtside to witness her panic attack at Wimbledon (and what was, we felt, a very poor quality tennins match - the two of them just slamming back and forth from the baseline with no finess or tactics other than to wait each other out) I think it was the weight of expectation that got to her then. It was the end of the day, many had been drinking (not to excess, but definitely "liberated"), and or course extremely partisan with the accompanying indiscriminate bellowing of support, including on her opponents misses. We'd decided to leave anyway, it was such poor quality tennis, just before they called a halt. I'm really glad she's worked through that, and she certainly seems to be enjoying her tennis now. It may be another Coco Gauff moment, but at least this time it's a UK player and, like Gauff, I hope she has a long and successful career.
