My cup of goodness is close to overflowing but forgive me if I sound too smug.

Tonight- seeing Elbow in Manchester
Weekend- cycling Chester-Ellesmere on Saturday and back on Sunday. Three easy points for Utd.
Monday- Massive Attack in Sheffield.
Next Friday- Off to Seattle and Portland for holidays !

Now all I have to do is shovel this huge steaming pile before I go away  :(

My Audax membership stuff:handbook etc: has just arrived in the post.
All I need now are some work-free weekends to make use of the number but that will not happen for several weeks.

My dear daughter, who has been unemployed for a year since graduating, will be starting work tomorrow.

Ok, it's only pub work, but it's in my favourite pub.

My Dad cycled 50 miles today on the Isle of Lewis.  This is particularly good seeing as he had a dodgy heart recently, and is recovering from treatment.

Off for a pointless ride round the Nyctophobic with LiamFitz. It's dark and gray at 7am, Lucky I don't have to leave home for an hour.

Not too bad, my route is pretty much due North so it's been a crosswind most of the time, we'll see now as I'm about to set off on the southbound homeward leg.

Lovely day to be out on the bike though.

I like retail factory outlet places. Two pairs of Reebok trainers, retail price £55 each. Outlet price, £38 each. Buy one, get one for £1 so that makes £110 worth of trainers for £39. Add to that the £79 jacket for £29 and various other bits and bobs and that's my kind of shopping.

It looks like I've my aspiration of cycling to work has taken a leap forward...I've blagged my own brick built shed.  Lockable with a table and chair and even a phone line.

Now all I need to do is wait for my boss to return from holiday so I can tell him I won't be taking the company van home anymore.

Our first ride as organisers went off well on Saturday despite being unfairly treated by the weather gods - 36.5 and windy at the beginning of October!!  12/13 finished the 200 and a further 4 the 400 (but with pretty slow times all round).

I just checked the bank account and found that we have had a refund from Southern Electric of almost £300. On the strength of that I reduced our monthly payment by £20.
The loss of humanity I could live with.
