I found a friends stolen bike today while working.
passengers looked at me with disbelieve when I walked out on the platform at took the bike
and placed it in my cabin and continued my train journey.  ;D

It will be delivered to him tomorrow, but he know it has been found.

There were some youngsters looking angry at me, but they remained silent.
My uniform gives a little extra protection and I'm not the smallest person  ;)

A section of the external skeleton frame of my Vaude Mk II broke last weekend whilst at Thorne.
That's not good news,I hear you say.
Correct.

The good news is that Mr Vaude(a.k.a. Colin) says..
Send the broken piece to us via post & we will send a new one back to you FREE OF CHARGE
Now that's good news
 ;D

The new pole section arrived this morning.
It is correct & now fitted.Tent returned to fully functional
Thanks Mr. Vaude.

And saw that she was reading something about Eddie doing his 30 marathons in a row run.

Yeah, I heard him being interviewed today on R5. I wasn't aware of this. I was really bowled over with the challenge he'd set himself.  Blimey, what an effort. Fair play to him.

We're in new shared offices, and recently I have become aware of (working for our neighbours):
- youngish cyclist chap; used to race as a schoolboy, now commutes and sportives
- young tanned and slim triathletess - also commutes on a bike.

Both probably twice my speed. Both friendly types. Really cheered me up after the h****t nonsense with colleagues 2 weeks ago.

Rohloff phoned the LBS to say they were servicing and updating mine for free.  Apparently they were really pleased to see an original design hub back at the factory.

First trip to the dentist since we moved to Lancashire and I am pleased and somewhat relieved to hear that my bridge is still sound. Phew.

I finally bludgeoned a result out of a well known high st lender ,they had been taking the piss and causing me some real sleepless nights .Instead of just accepting the shite they tried to impose on me and client I inferred some veiled threats about Council of mortgage lenders /fsa/ombudsman plus kept pushing further and further up the food chain until someone saw reason .My notes were right on and sometimes it pays to not just put up with the shite you are given.

Happy day!  A big white transit was coming along behind me as I clunked up the hill.  It slowed down, stayed back, waited til past the pinch point and then overtook me leaving loads of space and without cutting me up.  It's a miracle!  Well, either that or he was trying to tell me I had a gigantic arse and therefore needed the entire width of the road to accomodate it :)

Soon, I'm sure. Bear in mind she has mismatched spacers at the moment, so is not her beautiful best. But I'm sure you'll all be nice to her anyway ;)

Milly was delivered late last night so not enough light for photos, but when Peli is back tonight I will take some pictures. And I'm sure that there will be many more pictures coming since we are going touring in Wales this weekend.

I gave first aid to and called an ambulance for an 86 year old lady who collapsed in front of me (while outside due to a fire in the building  ::-)

And before the smart comments, she lived to tell the tale
