F**k You!
« on: 07 January, 2010, 10:43:59 pm »

If you've not seen the phenomenon that is the YouTube remix of Lily Allen's Fuck You, you're in for a treat.

Even if you're not a great big bender, unless you're a raging homophobe, it'll brighten up your day a treat  :)

It's a doddle to play on your accoustic chordophone of choice, too.  I've been plucking my banjo to it  ;)

Found any others?

We watched the first of those links, thanks.  I wasn't aware of the song, as it is not one of her more radio-friendly chirpy-pop cuts.  I like it. :)

We did have an intermission when Butterfly's dad Skyped in the middle.  We didn't really feel like explaining... ;D

There is a radio friendly version.  Lots of bells and swanny whistles instead of the obscenities.

Last Christmas at the family do all the kids were singing along loudly to it, and the "clean" version of "its not fair".   Parents suddenly realised what the songs were really about.  Very Very Very funny moment  ;D ;D ;D ;D

She went on the Graham Norton show with It's Not Fair and explained what the BBC had made her sing for the radio edit.  It should have been,

I lay here in the wet patch
In the middle of the bed.
I'm feeling pretty damn hard done by,
I spent ages giving head.

They made her sing "I spent ages kneading bread".

For the recorded radio edit I think they just make amusing noises over certain words.

For her live appearance on Come Dancing we really laughed.

I lay here <microphone held down by waist>
In the  <microphone held down by waist>
