Unpacked and built up this:

It is the fixie of my son's dreams for his 18th birthday tomorrow (not to my taste but it's what he wanted!)
A 'blue bazoo' from State Bicycle Co.
He wanted no brakes on it but I am not prepared to let him do this so have fitted the front brake. I don't think there is much chance of him climbing Cheddar Gorge in order to rapidly descend it anyway looking at the way it is geared! It is very light though.
I am very tempted to try and ride round the block on it but the large frame could be my undoing so I won't. He is lucky to be so lanky, the bike has absolutely no toe overlap

Feline - I'd never heard of State Bicycle Co. That Blue Bazoo is really rather nice...

Put the winter tyres onto my On-One ready for next week's commuting

New right pedal, chain and cogs on my Brommie, along with dismantling and greasing the brake calipers plus new cables and tightened a BB cup. New batteries in the front light too. Must get into working on HK's Condor soon.

EDIT: New chain and cassette on the Condor, tightened the headset and fitted a longer mudflap on the rear mudguard. Just need to fit the ex-rear mudflap to the front guard to finish it off tomorrow. Then onto the Audax tandem and tweaking a couple of other bikes. Hopefully I am now starting to get ahead of the degradation rates for the fleet.

A happy hour or so spent at the kitchen table (special dispensation due weather) stripping and cleaning Weinmann brakes (ex fruitcake OTP) to be fitted to the Witcomb when it is converted to 700c. Polished with Autosol they gleam and look smashing!

New smart mudguard light on the tourer. Then a strip down and clean of the rear mech and a new chain.

Bikes now shiny and polished as well :)

I've had a Marathon Winter tyre on the front of the commuter for the last week, as I had a puncture in the other wheel, so as I couldn't be bothered to change the inner, I put on the spare wheel with the winter tyre.  Today I fitted the rear one, and put on new front brakes, and went for a little ride in the snow.

I really need some sort of magic tyres you can instantly raise or lower the pressure, as you need around 35 psi to reduce the slippy effect on icy ridges of snow due to car tyre tracks, but then as soon as you get onto clear main roads, you need 85 psi or it's really hard work.    :-\

(She wasn't wearing them at the time.)

More of a fettle-by-proxy, but the LBS have just told me that they've re-built Pugsley's rear wheel - I didn't hear any screams or gnashing of teeth, so I guess having the build an 'offset' wheel didn't cause too many problems :)

If we are doing fettling by proxy, today I have stripped the hall stairs and landing of wallpaper and re-papered the lounge.

OK, OK, so I am paying someone else to do it, but the intention is there! :)

Fitted pump and bracket to the Pompetamine.
Fitted a 3rd bottle cage, big loud bell and Garmin bracket to the back of the tandem. I plan on knowing where I am going from the back seat!

It's the best plan! I have been known to pin my map to clarion's back. Just don't try to turn the tandem towards a possible tea stop without telling the pilot first. DACKHWKT*

Fitted a 3rd bottle cage...

I think you'll find 5 (with a spare on the rack) is the required number ;)

One of those bottles is still on my windowsill y'know.  I should probably post it to you guys or summat. Or you could ride over to collect it sometime :)

You could get another three bottles on there in cages below the cross tubes below the stoker.  :P
