Too cold to go out tonight so some more garage fettling:

And new tyres/tubes (Conti GP 4Seasons) on the Tricross.
So neat! So clean! No oil, no dust, no fingerprints!  :o

I haven't been fettling personally, but I've just spent the last hour or so guiding two United Utilities drain unblockers round while they worked out where the blockage was (two doors downstream from me), and how to remove the roots that were causing it. I now have fully working drains again :)

Yeah.  Come back next year and all the tools will be crammed on one shelf so the others can be used to store tqt.

Crud catcher mudguards fitted to youngests new bike (decathlon fit)  and then swapping the flat bars on the tandem back to the original drops with bar-end gears. Freezing cold but enjoyed it

On backup bike: p*ncture repair, CatEye lamp mount added to bars, crappy Sigma taillight to rear. Not for all-nighters, just in case I'm out after sunset. Ordered a new set of pedals for it, too.
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

New brake pads and a little bit of a clean for the not-Tifosi.

Luggage fettling - seeing if my recently acquired Alpkit Stem Cells will play nicely with the tri-bars and handlebar harness on the green bike:

They do, with the velcro stem straps helping to keep GPS cabling and whatnot in check as well

The central heating timer. When we got home tonight it said it was 0445 on Weds and the flat was cold.
Do not clench. It only makes it worse.

Two, if you look very carefully.

A VC167 coloured beanie hat for Mr Smith. It's a first draft, and a bit small, and he won't let me take a picture muttering something about being in bed and asleep.

Transferred all the remaining bits from the dead black bike to the ex-tiermat hack frame.  Well almost all. Managed to bugger up the feelthy chain, so gave up and will buy a new one.

Did a wee bit of filing to one of the rear drop outs to give bit more adjustment scope.

A witness statement.

Yes, great cycling weather but I'm working.   :(

Fettled some cold weather laces (bungee with crimped loops) into a newly bought pair of boots.

No more tying knots with cold fingers

How does that work then?  ??? Doesn't the boot feel loose?

What you see in the photo doesn't work -  that's just the method I use to roughly calculate the length of bungee required.
When the bungee is stretched, it criss-crosses the lace hooks conventionally.
Getting the length right, so that the boots aren't too tight on your feet and yet, not flopping about is an imprecise art, requiring a generous supply of bungee  ;)

I see!
Or you could just get yer Mum to do them up properly with the supplied laces.   ;)

That would be far too easy.

Also.
You've not met my Mum........

Neat hat, but cold ears!
I reckon a further half dozen ish rows above the diamonds will sort that. V2.0 next weekend, probably, They don't take long to knit.

A Klikfix/Rams Etrex 30 mount.

About to replace the derailleur cable on a Brommie before tomorrow's commute (DONE). I must tackle the racing tandem sometime, it is looking very forlorn.

Gear cables, front brake blocks and chain for the pink magenta bike. I can now get all my gears! Given the length of the chain, I suspect a cassette replacement will be soon.
