I'd do it myself except I have to spend the next fortnight in executor mode for my late and greatly loved Aunt Phyllis.

Where is the baton currently residing?

With me, West Berks; I have no plans for attending on an event (bar mine) in the next fortnight, but if a participant wants to call by I’m sure he’d enjoy a trip to belle France...
I'd offer you some moral support - but I have questionable morals.

Given the expertise in this place, is it not time to insert a tracking chip in said baton given the huge effort taken to recover it?

This just appeared in my FB feed. 5 years ago today, and the first anniversary of its retrieval is rapidly approaching.

Does anyone have any plans for its continued journey?

The YACF Baton, since November 2010, is attempting to travel from Lands End to John O Groats.

It started with me (I made the Baton and created the brass plaques) but it now belongs to YACF.

Thought I'd pop back after a long layoff and see if the Baton was ever recovered from the stone wall.

Honestly I'm happier than is normal, that an old wooden stick has been found.

11 years and counting it seems, quite incredible.

Should anyone be cycling down to South West France then I'll be happy to accept a handover and close the circle on this epic adventure.
Some people say I'm self-obsessed but that's enough about them.

Hi Iddu (long time ..etc).
Any chance it can find its way to Hampshire?

If it can then there's a chance it could find its way, by bicycle (!), back to me in the South West of France.
