I was just going to say there is definitely a ride on this week, and next.

Hope to see some of you there, ones I haven't seen in a while (mostly due to my jet-setting lifestyle ATM :) )

Definitely on for this week, I spent a nice evening in watching the goggle-box last Thursday as no-one else had expressed an interest, but this week I shall be out on my bike, solo or in a group.

Any takers?

Hi, me too if that's ok.  :)

Of course it is, and if you are lucky, there might even be some cake left!

Sorry - I am out for the next couple of weeks I would think. I've "sprained" my neck and am finding great difficulty riding anywhere at the moment cos I can't lift my head up sufficiently to see where I'm going and certainly can't look over a shoulder to check for traffic behind.

I'm not quite sure how I've done my neck in - though it could be something to do with spending a day and a half hauling tarpaulins over marquee roofs to waterproof them (last week before my son's wedding).

Looks like it will be a nice evening for it, clear skies and only light breeze, enough to keep cool but not enough to struggle against.

Sorry to hear about your neck, SC, get well soon and hopefully we will see you when I get back from France.

It was brilliant....

Lovely to catch up, drink beer, and ride home under a beautiful fading sunset, and through dark trees. Obviously not in a straight line lol  :o

Definitely not a straight line!

Gits.

Probably best not tell you that I had a FF butty and a HUGE bowl of chips then?  Or that we are most definitely treated as locals in that pub now :)

No, I'm quite sure you didn't Tiermat.  And if you had you wouldn't go teasing poor LindaG who was hard at work on a ward at the time.  Y'know, at the harsh frontline of the NHS.  While we were bimbling and drinking Copper Dragon and gossiping undertaking a gruelling training ride.  I mean, the traffic, the roads, the headwind, the huge arduous climbs between Northallerton and Thirsk going the Newby Wiske way, no bridges even.... Honestly guys - you didn't miss much.  Honest....

Actually, also, as well as hating you all I really miss you.  It's been far too long.  But you're all still gits.
