(Despite being an adopted Swindoner I'm enough of a yam yam to get the reference)

Basil, where can I get a couple of bottles?

It was in an Off Licence on the Raddlebarn Road in Selly Oak (or is it Selly Park down that end?)
I can't tell you what it's like as I didn't buy it.  I was buying the wine (I already owned the glove)

Two towers is a local brewery and produces pretty good ale so it'll probably be alright.

You don't appear to be able to order that one on their website though.
Somewhat of a professional tea drinker.

For a not really local, as in on your doorstep, but not far off, there is "The Shed" brewery, in Hockley Heath.

It's run by a friend of a friend, and his beers are very very nice.
