A quick cheap way to make cheap pate something special

The little containers of 'Brussels' Paté that you can buy anywhere. They are rather boring, but here is my recipe for making them into something more interesting.

Chop a few shallots, very fine, and melt them in a little butter, very gently. Add a large glass of red wine, and some juniper berries, just three or four.

Reduce everything down, until treacly. Remove the juniper berries, and add the paté to the pan. Mix everything up very thoroughly, and put into ramekins, or something ready to serve nicely.

It's a great way of making a 99p thing taste special.
