Newport 200 & Radway 150 Rides.
Whilst I'm hoping not to be seen as touting for trade here..
Please note on-line entries for these winter rides will be closing tonight,
As usual both rides are filling up fast 140+ already ..  too late now for postal entries - sorry ..

I'm really strapped for time between now & the rides start -  working away all next week , so need to sort your brevet cards before this weekend..hence the entries closing tonight ..

If you're thinking of entering either of these rides time is running out..

Hope this helps     T.H

I believe that Ron Eaton will be the controller at Newport (in Waitrose car-park) to stamp/sign brevet cards.  Ron is aged 81 now but did a lot of audaxing in the 80's and still getting out on his bike regularly.

Thanks for Highlighting this one Jethro..
Delighted to confirm you're not wrong on this one.  :)

I can also confirm Ron & Co. will be busy again this year with over 140 sweaty Brevet cards to sort.
Entries now closed -  both rides full..

Thanks must go to all my ride "Vollies" -  without their un-paid help & dedication to AUK our pastime simply wouldn't be the same..

I'm really grateful to Ron & Co.

Guys..
If your riding either of the Peak Audax rides this Sunday You'll have to be patient with me please, as sadly I've lost the use of my mentor & organising inspiration / main pair of helping hands
Sadly Mike Wigley has had to use the mountain rescue team this morning,  as he's snapped one of his legs whilst up walking on the Lancashire moors
True to type he was still giving me helpful advice on the phone for this weekends events , whilst waiting for the medics to arrive high up above the cloud line -  tough buggers these Delphcyclists..
Not sure if he was wearing his SPD sandals at the time  :)

That's a bugger!
Poor Mike!

As you say, those Delph cyclists are tough...

Lancashire Moors?  Saddleworth is in the former West Riding s these are Yorkshire Moors.  The local people get heated over such matters.

Good luck with the rides on Sunday.  There will still be a secret control even if I'm not it.
