Travel Man is back :) :)

http://www.channel4.com/programmes/travel-man-48-hours-in/episode-guide/

New York last night was about the worst fit for this programme, but Ayowawawayday (sp?) was still very funny.

Prompted (by a review in the Waitrose free sheet no less) to find the first episode of National Treasure on C4 catchup (Tuesdays for the rest of 'em, I think).

Robbie Coltrane isn't Jimmy Savile ... Bit dark, bit fractured - don't think it's touched by greatness yet, but worth making time for the next parts.

Not sure if it's been mentioned here yet but as it seemed to be popular the first time around, there's a new series of Humans incoming :)

I had to suffer Pingu asking me if it was supposed to be a crime drama or 24 hours in A&E.
I'll know to watch the rest of the series when he's out now...

Poldark is so terrible. The script is appalling:

"Tis a miracle!"

"No, basic anatomy!"
.

Thwarted villains go "Gah!" and crumple paper then there's some mild sexiness. Pure fromage. It's brilliant.

Starts on 30th October.

We started re-watching the first series over the weekend as a refresher. It's really very good indeed. Looking forward to the new one.

Currently working our way through Luke Cage. Not as odd as Jessica Jones, but still dark and enjoyable.

When we can't stand the tension of that we are also working through 4 series of Continuum, easy to watch and follow.
I feel like Captain Kirk, on a brand new planet every day, a little like King Kong on top of the Empire State

Not tonight, but last night we watched a recording of the first part of The Victorian Slum. For reality TV it was pretty good, and we learnt something new. In the doss house, if you couldn't afford 4d a night for a "coffin bed" you could get a seat - or even stand - and hang over a rope to sleep. Fascinating.

You thought Jessica Jones was odd?  Heaven knows what you'll make of Twin Peaks when it returns next year!

Tomorrow, 23:20, BBC2: the oft-parodied "Downfall".  Note to self: set the Machine this recording to be.

Kaffy, surely.
