fedex you bunch of lazy gits. your tracking site shows you tried to deliver my goods and left a card when failed at the time I was sitting outside my front door in my chair reading a book in the sunshine. there was no sign of either your vehicle or the card you claim to have left  >:(. it had better turn up tomorrow or I might get a little miffed .

Isn't there a shite courier thread here?
Obviously delivery to the thread failed

The card's probably jammed in an inaccessible corner of his inbox ...

A couple of weeks ago, while I was in Yorkshire to watch some random minor sporting event that doesn't seem to get mentioned on the BBC, one of my mates hed a long weekend in a pub in Fyfield to watch the same random minor sporting event etc etc. As said sporting event left ye olde shire of Cantabrigge a car pulled into the car park and two men walked into the bar. Stephen Roche had a guinness and Raymond Poulidor had a lager and my mate had a chat and got their autographs.

Not jealous.

Not me.

Not much.  >:(

Cross Check is a damn fine ride.
Couldn't agree more - I've fancied one for a while, but then the Straggler came along (Cross Check with discs, yeah!) and then I went and bought a Salsa El Mariachi, which isn't a 'cross bike at all but is the right colour.

Sadly, the chances of me getting a Cross Check or a Straggler are fairly slim now, orangeness notwithstanding, since the Croix de Fer covers that particular niche rather nicely (and is a damned fine ride itself)

I'm sorry if you've lost your Jesus Phone, but I haven't got it.  Srsly.  The people next door haven't got it either, and nor has Mr Patel from the first house down the side road.  I don't care whether the other Jesus Phone in your possession says it's "in this house", nor do I care whether the five-oh apparently think so too.  It isn't, and they probably don't.  I doubt the Met's Babbage-Engines are running Hollywood-OS.  And I'm going out.  So stop looking at me in a manner which suggests either:

  • you think I'm a liar and are holding your Jesus Phone hostage, or
  • I've just asked you for a lightly-grilled stoat, in a roll, with Branston pickle and a crinkle-cut tomato

And it's not in any of my bins either.  For a moment yesterday evening I thought I needed to call the council's pest control people to get rid of an infestation of News International FLJS in my garden.

I suppose it's in the contract, Royal Mail, but you did move my delivery round onto something much more physically demanding. Now I have a dodgy knee and you're not paying me for time off. I could really do with a week off, but will have to return on Monday.

Cumbria County Council are now gritting roads with 'rock chips' because of the hot weather. Lets make the surfaces even more dangerous for cyclists!

Worcestershire council have decided that this is the week to surface-dress everything.  In some places it's actually worked quite well, but the stuff put down in the last couple of days simply isn't staying put.

Once, just once, I'd like to get the laundry out of the washing machine and not drop at least one item of clothing onto the dusty kitchen floor.

The Daily Mail appears to have confused Wales with Nigeria.

Edit: they've fixed it now.

Why do pensioners, who have all week to shop and drink coffee , all seem to appear at the weekend?
Arriving ( on the bike) at a garden centre at 11'ish this morning, there were 5  senior couples in the cafe queue ahead of us .
I can't believe that they all needed coffee and cake to give them sufficient energy to walk round said garden centre, perusing the tat.

Maybe they have other commitments during the week.

Bloody PVR!  You didn't record the Tour yesterday.  Nor today.  And you didn't record the F1 either.  And you appear to be allergic to the Cycle Show.

Sort yourself out, anbaric idiot >:(

Ermm, isn't that verging on the clarksonesque?  Mebbe not quite so overt as his anti-cyclist/caravanner/{current target of ridicule} comments, but still shades of, "Who do these people think they are? Getting in my way all the time."

Remember we're _cyclists_, we're _better_ and _nicer_ than everybody else. See that moral high ground? That's ours that is.  :)

And another thing!  SatNav!  I cannot do a legal U-turn.  I cannot even do an illegal U-turn.  And do you know why?

Because I've just gone into the Blackwall Tunnel.

Like you told me to.
