Camping in Northern italy (Munich-Venice Route)
« on: 07 February, 2017, 01:35:27 pm »
We are planning a trip along the Munich-Venice cycle route in the summer and have seemingly come unstuck when it comes to camping in Northern Italy between the Alps and Venice. We are not expecting significant distances each day so was hoping to stop somewhere between Conegliano and Treviso

Any suggestions? Alternatively are there hostels/bunkhouses or can you knock on a farmers door and ask to camp in his field?

Not done your route but have rode it the opposite way on a roundabout route via San Marino, Florence and Genoa.

Never had a problem finding campsites in Italy, I found asking locals was the best option as few are signposted. In saying that, most of them are crap though, be prepared to pitch on dirt.
