^So to make it more challenging you'll be lugging books up there for someone else to lug back down again? Nutters. ;)

Graeme's account is excellent, and tempts one out of hibernation, but for me it's balanced by a sense of self-preservation, a prior sort-of-commitment, and the fact that if the weather was similar I'd have a bike configuration error.
Think it possible that you may be mistaken.

23rd is pay day, think I can pre-order a tubeless wheelset to collect?

Hopefully see you there Dale.  I've still got some books for you so hopefully can fob you off with those too.

May I suggest changing the subject line - or starting a new thread - in order to attract more interest?

(Not coming.  In my defence, I'm going camping.)

Good idea!  That'll require Deano to edit the thread title ...

Or start a new thread. Then you can link the event in the calendar, and no one will have to wade through x pages to find the meat.

I've been 'lurking' around this thread for a while, it's a maybe from me.  I will check long range weather forecast (for what that's worth) and Tan Hill bookings.  Might be able to find an even more unsuitable off-road bike as well ....
Sunshine approaching from the South.

First time in 1,000 years.

Sorry, not even going to try this time. Not ridden the bike for over a month and slowly getting back to doing my stuff. Plus will be looking after the hair a next weekend.

Hope the weather is kind and all enjoy

Yeah, I’m not able to play out. Couldn’t get a shift covered. Bit annoying but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
