Jean-Luc Godard (1930-2022)

Is this indicative that if someone has sufficient ( probably significant) funds to be well looked after in old age they’re likely to last longer?

I think also having a career/jobs that they actually wanted to do.

Having sufficient funds to be well looked after in old age is probably correlated with other socio-economic factors that are indicative of a long life-span, like having sufficient funds before they got to old age.

Working does give a sense of purpose - even if it might not be the greatest purpose, whereas once retired, all that sense of purpose has to come from within, which I think can impact those who are prone to mental health issues.

June Spencer has recently retired at the age of 103.
She played the same role in the Archers from its first episode in 1951.

Amazing, added.
