No. You can just download the tracks normally. I think they do have an optional special downloader, but I've never used it.

Just download the software (only for PC & Mac only) and it install tracks for you - it even syncs with your iTunes.

Works well and Amazon are sometimes cheaper than iTunes.

PS, make sure that you point your Itunes to the additional file - I think I had to do this ???
