As the title really, for the first time ever I bid on something on Ebay, and won. It's a bit of a gamble as I have never ridden one before, nor has my wife and I didn't look at the bike before buying. Panicked when I'd won the bid as I wasn't sure how to get it home, but it actually fitted into the rear of a Golf (after taking off wheels, racks and mudguards and removing the Golf front seat. Problem when the airbag warning light stayed on even after re-fitting the front seat (apparently the car tells itself there's a fault with the system, but anyhow the garage reset it for no charge
) Collected the tandem yesterday and spent the evening checking and rode it today round the block with SHMBO on the back. Bit nerve wracking at first but got the hang, (sort of) and went out for an afternoon spin. Great fun. Visited the in laws and wife's sister and saw several friends whilst out.
It's been well looked after and I'm chuffed with it. Need to change the saddle (it's a ladies model) though.
