A friend just posted a link to this job ad https://wheelsforwellbeing.org.uk/work-with-us-inclusive-cycling-advisor/

Inclusive Cycling Advisor, full time (job share considered), funded to Nov 26, based anywhere but with some travel to London, applications particularly welcomed from Disabled people. Thought ppl around here might find it of interest, and couldn't see it mentioned anywhere, based on a quick and not very thorough search....

I don't think I've seen a tandem penny farthing before.

Yes.  My general advice for choosing Linux distros is either:

a) The one you're already familiar with.

Unless either:

b) You're not familiar with any of them, then Ubuntu, because any problem you have will likely be easily googleable (some of which may even have solutions).

or:

c) Packages for the specific thing you want to do are conspicuously absent from from a) or b) because reasons.

Anyone with more complicated edge cases isn't likely to be asking the question.

I've just had the back off, removed & replaced a sim card & it appears to be alive again.
it’s sounding a lot like a Trigger’s Broom of a kindle though  ;D

Last year I contacted the local outdoor ed centre about volunteering to help on DoE and other activities.

They got back to me today, asking me to fill in a form.

It is a full employment application form.

I have one with the ads. It's really not that much of a pain. Just need to swipe to log in.
It does, however, keep recommending books I already have in dead tree format.

Emergency call outs permitting, I will be heading out to the SH this week.  Tomsk - any chance you can bring along a brevet for Dick Turpin’s Day Out and also Bricks and Moretaine?  I am hoping the weather plays ball for my upcoming week off and allows me a couple of days out.

It looks like I'm going to be shopping for a new Kindle.    My 2011 model is frozen on the lock screen & none of the controls have any effect.    I only replaced the original battery a few months ago (I'd previously replaced the screen).

It's charged up OK , but isn't being recognised when I connect it to the Mac.   It did give me some sort of memory warning the other day.

I notice that you now have to pay extra for one without shitverts.  >:(
