Is that like ram-raiding, only instead of loading what they can into the vehicle, the perps then produce a tray of assorted sandwiches and packets of crisps? :demon:

It's the Mrs. braking to a halt from 30 per, right outside the shop door as I'm saying TTFN to a mate, whilst proffering a sandwich out of the driver's window, stopping for the briefest moment before accelerating away.

Choreography that would have impressed Arlene Phillips...

I saw my first Christams turkey and cranbery sandwich in Boots this week.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

Don't DIE of boredom!

BTDT got a clean result...

... but nearly died of boredom.

I don't usually eat Rich Tea biscuits...

TBH I found the days of low-residue blandness worse than the Movi-Prep or the colonoscopy...
..possibly because the duration of the latter two was shorter.

It's fantastic isn't - love that place.

Yesterday my lunch was all sugar and purchased at the Little Dessert Shop in the next street across.

Also an entirely acceptable option....

Last day of invigilating tomorrow, so may head to the Great Western for a pint and a pork bap for lunch.

Another establishment that enjoyed by many from the HEI.

For lunch today I had two coffees, a pot of tea and a large slice of cake.

Went out for lunch with SWMBO today to a new-ish cafe-cum-bistro type place in Ely.

I had a starter of tomatoes, beetroots, blue cheese with a poached duck egg.  Followed by a very large (too large really vs dietary needs) bit very good burger with cheese and bacon, very well cooked and tasty, plus courgettes and panchetta on the side.  No bun of course.

SWMBO had some of my starter, followed by a cheese souffle that looked very good, some greens and thick cut chips with truffle and parmesan.  The chips were good, but could have done with a bit more parmesan for my taste.  She had a tarte tatin for afters, far too sweet and icky for me.

I think I'll have a very light dinner this evening.

Everything's a bit late in this household.
We've just had 'lunch' at 20.10.

Home-grown tomatoes, picked yesterday were amongst the salad vegetables.

We also had some 'seasonal' iced fruit CAEK.

Eggs, either poached or boiled, now that the local (well about 1/2 mile away) chickens have resumed service.

Aldi had pre-sliced kebab meat and corresponding buns on Tuesday, so cobbled together a couple of döner today using moist coleslaw, onion & tomato. No yogurt for sauce so used sour cream, lemon juice &  garlic. Inflated the buns in the toaster and did the meat in the air fryer. Parfick.
