Aged 66.

Mrs A's sister knew him well and Mrs A says he was a great guy just as he appeared on the telly.

This is sad, I loved watching snooker as a kid. Willie Thorne always seemed like lovely bloke.

I occasionally watched snooker, but I found his impersonations of other snooker players more entertaining.
