We seem to have acquired a couple of frogs in our garden. 
We have no pond but we do have a shaded damp path by the shed, which they seem to enjoy.
Enjoy your little froggy visitors. They only use ponds to "spawn" anyway. Spending the rest of the year
in shaded damp patches, just like you've said.
