Shocking!  :o

I refer the Honorable Gentleman to post #1 of this thread, way back in August 2009, where I mooted the following radical concept...

Quote
... My thoughts were that the emphasis was on cycling not drinking...!

Rulz????  :o :o :o  ::-)

Cool - Spiritual Home it is for this week wth Oaky Towers in reserve awaiting a better weather forecast.

There we go, a three Elder ratification.

Sounds good to me - where do you want to meet? I hope you like riding slowly. :D

I too have been itching to try What3Words so how about we meet at takes.breezy.thatched at 8pm?  If the plan works for you I'll fettle a route so the rest of the peloton can ride along if they wish.

Great, thanks and see you there!

 Ok, just in from work and caught up with plans. Full Elder approval then!

Since The Spiritual Home is much nearer for me than Oaky Towers, I'll pick up OD's route via Mashbury and see if we can meet up. If I leave home at 19:00, I will pick up the outbound route in Felsted at the Swan around 19:20 (probably shelter under the Old School on R if it's still wet ... ) - depends on OD launch time from Witham of course.

There is a plan for me & my +1 to get to the Compasses about 8-ish for some food. Not sure what route I may take, depends on time I’m able to get away from the keyboard and how heavy the wetness is.

Depending on domestic arrangements I was thinking of launching at around 1830hrs so I could take a leisurely westward bimble.   I could text you when I set off if you like Tomsk?

Ok OD, text when you leave. We'll be eating at 18:00, so I could leave before 19:00.

Western peleton are routing rather directly and have a strict curfew, something about glass slippers and pumpkins or such like. Aiming to arrive about 8pm.

I hope to join tonight, but no glass slippers. Will probably be travelling direct.

It will probably be a bun fight in the marquee tonight thanks to the "Eat Out to Help Out" freeloaders turning up...
You can’t just call time out and stroll on into the beach if you don’t like the way things are goin’.

Was hoping to order a meal when I get there - will that be a problem with the freeloaders!?

No problem ordering food of course, just finding somewhere to eat it may prove a little tricky

I'll meet anyone at the usual Witham launchpad for 7pm and make a fairly direct path to the SH, maybe just beat all those aiming for an 8pm arrival to a marquee table  :P

Yeah, I'll be wearing my cheap dhb overshoes which have never worked but I insist on still using occasionally, thinking they might. Why? I don't know.

Well, I had a really good night and it was great to meet some of you. Big thanks to Jason for inviting me in the first place and the rest of you for being so welcoming. I am pencilling this in as a regular thing if you'll have me back. Sorry that I didn't get to chat to you all but we will all meet eventually, I am sure. thanks again.

Nick.
