Title: This is Audax
Post by: djrikki on 27 November, 2019, 07:57:52 pm
I've had an amazing time doing Audax events since I joined back in January 2018, I've done a little montage of the sights and scenes of a few rides from the course of the last year and a bit.  If you've ever considered riding long distance it's an amazing experience you get to visit some wonderful places, roads and routes you would never otherwise dream of visiting.  So I leave a link below, it's only a short video - I hope I inspire someone to join or at least sample audax, thanks for watching.

Nice little video – even some people and places I know! Yeah, maybe I should take it up again... As a total aside, I've just realized your username is "djrikki" – presumably indicating you are a DJ? – I'd always read it with garbled eyes as "Dr Jikki".  :D

Very good - the short clips short keeps it moving.  It sent me in search of the Audax "films" - made up of stills at half-second intervals - I made of the Audaxes I ran between 2008 & 2013, but they seem to have gone down the tubes.  Shame.

You capture the feel of an Audax ride well, and I recognise some of the places/riders.
We need all the encouragement we can get to continue riding at this time of year!

I was a DJ for over 16 years until I discovered the joy of cycling; it is no longer possible for me to enjoy both.

Thanks for the kind comments.
