Lights and slick tyres

I've been asked by the wife of one of my riding buddies to provide links for a new front light and slick tyres for his mountain bike as he wants to use it more like a hybrid. I can't imagine his family will want to spend a fortune and while I shop at bike shops as much as possible they want links to websites that she can share. Any recommendations please

I recently bought a Ryaco and a Nestling front light via Amazon. They are the same, but the Arya o had a nicer rear light included. They claim to be 1200 likens, but 500 would be a better guess. That’s usually enough though And both have batteries that give a useful duration from full.

Look at different listings for price.- looks like I paid 12.99 for the Nestling and 16.99 for the Ryaco.

aldi have just had a bike special and do twin packs of lights (front and rear) which cost next to nothing and are quite usable.  I used a very similar (aldi deals never have exactly the same stuff) as my backup front light on PBP

Sorry I thought I'd said size. It's a 26" wheel bike so guess something around 26 x 1 1.5". He currently has an aldi front light which he likes. We'll to be precise he currently has MY aldi front light

I used Tioga City Slickers on my old KHS, they are nice tyre but appear to be a bit pricey (at least for me) these days at £30 a pop.

I saw those lights a week or 2 ago, I think they  are USB rechargables however the front has a circular beam.

Lidl do something similar but has a shaped beam ie like a dynamo light.
