BBC4, 21:00 tonight, Joy Division. I'm not a big fan of JD but this still promises to be interesting.
Yeah, I'll be checking that out too. I never listen to them now, but if ever there was a rock&roller who got lost in their own despair, never able to see beyond his own personal hell, and believing in it, it was Ian Curtis, and boy some of the stuff on those two albums expressed that.
Must admit, I didn't like 'Control'.....just found it a bit tedious and self-indulgent [which was fair enough actually, because it was about Curtis more than anything], but this looks a bit more interesting as regards placing him in the context of the band. Brilliantly unique sound they had too.
