Title: Cable for Shimano Alfine 11 speed IGH

Is the gear cable for this hub just a normal gear cable?

I ask because internet searches for an Alfine cable just comes up with the regular Shimano gear cable for derailleur gears. Even the hub (no pun intended) of the IGH world. SJS cycles don't seem to have a special cable for it so perhaps it doesn't exist. If so, it would make my life easier.

Yes, standard gear cable.
