Debating whether to go into town for lunch. I have to go into town to post a 'ner ner de ner ner!!' letter to a debt collection agency and a parcel to a member of the forum.

Sweating gently after clearing our entire road of hard-packed snow and sheet ice, making it passable again. Did any of the neighbours help? Nope, they just did their own drives

Drinking a cuppa and getting warm by the fire, having recently returned from the local club run, although due to my tardiness we did the B and a half ride cos I couldn't quite keep up the pace!

They were very nice and encouraging but on a day like today it didn't seem fair to ask them to wait at the junctions for me so we left them at Inglewhite and met them at the cafe stop. A couple of miles into the return journey when I was tucked nicely into the pack I looked at TKP and realised something was missing.

He had managed to leave his helmet at the cafe stop so we left them and went back to collect it. Just as well really because my legs were useless on the way back

I will go again though, with skinny tyres and no luggage and a lot of determination

Browsing the forum whilst a big pot of chorizo, butterbean & potato stew bubbles away making the room smell nice.

Listening to Suzanne Vega, checking the photo's I took from the top of Liverpool's Anglican cathedral. It was the first time I'd been to the top of the tower despite living here all my life.

Sitting in the offic, on my day off, earning some overtime and serioulsy wondering if I will managed to stay awake until 4.00 a.m. because I got out of bed at 9:00 this morning.

Just out of the bath. A nice hot soak following 30 mins on the rollers in the garage. Full gloves, freezing feet, and the rest of me too warm to worry about. Working out the aches in my legs from the spinning yesterday. It worked too!

Sitting in the lounge fully togged up for some cold cycling and feeling a bit of a prat because we are ten minutes early (Mrs. TKP is going on an organised girly ride). I will have the option of doing as much or as little as I like and heading for home and warmth but if the forecast if right she will end up cycling in the snow.

Enjoying that post ride feeling. 25 miles and at a pace I can more than cope with and I have met some more cycling ladeeez and had a nice sociable ride and tea stop
