About to wash down some of my bikes that were flooded knee deep under the house in recent storms before doing an evening 50 km brevet (too hot/steamy to ride during the day).

just finishing warm wholesome soup and fresh rolls after watching grandson #3 help his soccer team win 6-1 this morning.

It was devilishly cold on the touchline.

Just heard from grandson #2 who is in the front row by the touchline at Stamford Bridge.

Just finished lunch and contemplating a short pootle to visit my mum. Mrs. TKP needs to try her legs out after being ill for a week so I get all the excuse I need for a short easy ride.

Sitting in a sunny late afternoon square in Madrid, using the free wireless from a government ministry. I'm breaking my journey on the way back from Lisbon (where I have been a guest at Portugal's first academic conference on surveillance). Got an overnight train to Paris tonight, and then it's back up to Newcastle...

I'm wondering how long it will take Marj to decide to have a Specialised Dolce she saw in Samway's in Derby this morning.

She asked if she should have it.
