Cheap laser printer

Once upon a time I had a little Brother laser printer, which was a good thing.
I stupidly gave it away when Mrs Scum switched to Chromebooks which need a Google Cloud Printer.
The Canon inkjet which I replaced it with is now needing its heads aligned and some more ink.

Recommendations for a Brother laser printer at the low end of the market?
I am tempted to buy a dumb one and use Rasp Pi to create a Cloud Printer. Thoughts?

I really like my Brother HP1270N. It's now 20 years old. Still works.

I like the fact that it's postscript, and network, and Just Works™.

I'd go with the raspberry pi approach...

Inkjet printers, unless you do photo stuff are just stupid...

Now dicontinued I have found my model of the Brother 'DCP' multi function printers to be extremely useful and good value. Cartridges are affordable. The ability to scan and send docs to others has been invaluable as has been the ability to photocopy..
