Carole Gandy won the BBAR at age 60, after years of trying, and did a 23-minute 10 recently at age 64. And Beryl Burton won her last national time trial titles at age 49.

Elite women athletes do seem to age better than many men of similar standing, don't they?

FWIW, I don't think that (all) sailors or horseriders can compare to what her events involve.
