For routing from/to Witham please note that Mundon Wash road closure is officiially unclosed (The Essex highways website may be a total load of bollocks but that's what it says!). Do I trust the web site... Anyone been that way recently?

I rode it this week (and last) and it is now fully open, with a new bridge, with crash barriers and a small trickle of water running through the two 6ft square culverts.

Also, the road to the Prince of Wales is now open at Crow lane/South Woodham Road, so cars are rushing alon it as before.

A suggested route for Witham starters incorporating TMNH and Hagg Hill, shorter outward route for earlier arrival, earlier depart for home??

I've been held up, so if I'm not at the top of TMNH I'll see you there.

Two things...

1. Please could FORWARD PLANNING deliver us to a 'spoons before the end of March as I have CAMRA vouchers to use up.  I'm sure others do as well.

2. I'm talking to that nice man Nick Hobbs at Blackmore about MEMWNS jerseys.  What will come of it I couldn't say at this stage but I will keep you abreast of developments.

I'm sure the unusually mild weather will break and 'spoons will be the answer sometime between now and then... also note there is 1 more ACME event at 'spoons between now and then (2 if you include a helpers ride before !)

If it's looking less likley for bad weather before mid-Feb, I'll re-jig to solve...

I'm not around next Wednesday, and its earmarked for Duton Hill. Unless others are keen on keeping the calendar as it is, could we possible switch it for one of the options in the following 2 weeks please?

I'm not sure when Tomsk is back either....

The Cats or The Cricketers for next week then?

Might not be able to make this Wednesday after all - so don't take me into account with venue decisions.

As mentioned I'd like to organise a MEMWNS jersey, that nice man Nick has come up with some suggested designs...

Untitled by Steve Rowley, on Flickr

What do we think?  I quite like #3.  For an order of 5 or more we're looking at £45 per jersey and there is a £30 delivery charge per order.  I've suggested a relaxed fit which Blackmore can do and this comes in a Coolmax fabric with a half zip.  There are 3 rear pockets one of which is zipped.

Why is it white with purple bits?

Why is it white with purple bits?

I went with black and purple to signify nighttime. I would agree that white is an oil magnet. Would more black and purple and less white be better?  Or something else?

Putting colours to one side, what do we think of the rest of the design?

The design is a photographic negative, right?  Just trying to think why there'd be all that white on the design proposal, as others have said in other ways...

Maybe a midnight blue base colour with moonshine white for the MEMWNS band, keep the purple detailing if you like.  Reflective tapes/panels/logos at all??
Needs one of the pocket panels to picture a beer glass with the top supped off

I deliberately didn’t go with a beer glass as not everyone drinks beer or indeed drinks at all but that’s not to say we shouldn’t have a beer glass. I suggested the ACME logo as it’s an offshoot of MEMWNS, again not saying that’s right.

There are 3 pockets, one for each - beer, Merlot and G&T  ::-)
