I must have ridden past that a few times. Beautiful area.

You can just take a gentle stroll up any slight gradients and get to the top rest and admire the view before I get there  :). Or if you would like to improve your climbing you could see how many times you can climb said rise before I reach the summit  ;D

You can go & visit Jeremy......    " We are located close to Jeremy Clarkson's Diddly Squat Farmshop "

I'll put it in the calendar as a "possible"....

I avoided that weekend mainly because it is the bank holidays.  I'll be interested in the photos and reports of the site for future reference.

Can't help with a chocolate cock this time, I'm afraid.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

I've just checked (this is one of the things VeloViewer is really good for), and I've been through the general area several times, but not the road in question, as I've always been heading nominally north-south.

Pedant mode:  It's   Moreton-in-Marsh - the natives are very precise about that, calling out those that add THE - that's down the road at Bourton-on-the-Water

So I've read, it was originally Moreton Henmarsh, which over time and presumably dropped Hs became Moreton-in-Marsh.

Moreton-in-traffic-jam would be more accurate.
