Sending a frame for respraying
« on: 28 April, 2009, 04:20:35 pm »
I've got to send my frame up to Dave Yates for spaying. He suggests using Parcel force, which seems OK to me, except that their insurance cover is only for £500, not enough to cover the frame if it's lost.

So the question is, is the extra insurance worth it?
Cost goes up from about £20 to closer to £50.

Argos collect and deliver to my LBS.
If your are woried about Parcel Force why not deliver it yourself.  Take a day off travel by train with frame and other bike.  Spend time exploring new area or ride home.

What ever you do, remember to put spacers between the drop outs. Either use a lump of wood or blag some from your LBS.

With a slim box, it'll be about £38 including £1000 insurance cover for Parcel Force booked through P4D - UK and international parcel delivery service

Would't it be better to send it to a veterinary surgeon for spaying?
