He was selected, but according to today's news he has dropped out.  Wise move...... he'd have been battered.

The course is hilly and according to British Tour legend Barry Hoban, Cavendish "can't ride over a bridge at the moment".

The hills.

He'd have only ever ridden it for the experience. It's a hilly course.
