I need to visit Brum soon.  I notice that the Birmingham leg of the British Cycling National Circuit Race Championships will be in Broad Street (has no one told them?) On July 28th.  That might be a good day to go.
Are these things worth a look for us un-knowlegable types?
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

Criteriums are generally fun to watch and not overly long. If you are lucky, there will be a photogenic crash.
Wheel meet again, don't know where, don't know when...

Is it just a matter of turning up early enough and finding a spot by the barriers? If I can get away I fancy popping into town for a look.

Well the boy and I turned up and watched the women's race.
It was OK I suppose.
We didn't bother to stay for the men's.

I didnt even know that it was on until I swithched the TV on and it was on the local news.  I thought "What, cycle racing in Birmingham" with it being the first time since 2005 (I think).

So, as it was on my way home, I decided to have a look and was pleasantly surprised with it all.
