We have one similar to these, except that ours is green instead of white. In my view, it is as good as other brands of cast iron cookwares worth 3 or 4 times the price. We regularly use it for making stew, boeuf bourguignon, or any kind of slow cooked food. The bottom is reasonably non-sticky, as long as you don't try to use it as a frying pan.

We have one too. It's OK, I suppose - but I've not got much to compare it to. It doesn't catch fire or leak and it's not so big it can't go in the oven. Does that help? ;D

We have what I suspect is the John Lewis equivalent. It works as well as the "Islington" brands. It's a casserole. The one thing that is imporatnt with these things is to make sure your oven shelves can support the weight of a full one. Our Nisbets one was so big it needed the shelves doubling up to support it, and the sagging still bothered me.
