Some Endura Thermolite winter tights.  I've got a couple of pairs that have served me well for several years, and - astoundingly - they still exist.  Failed to buy any Altura Winter Cruisers, which are what I was actually looking for.

Also some slightly better elbow pads to replace my under-a-tenner-in-the-sale efforts, one of which has decided it would rather be a wrist pad.

A Carradice Barley.

I probably have enough luggage already, but I needed somewhere to mount all the badges.

An Elite Novo Smart Turbo Trainer to replace my clunky dumb turbo trainer, from thon high street purveyor of motoring goods and bicycles.  10% off paying the online price instore, plus another 10% with cycling uk discount!

First test ride in Zwift this afternoon, and it is quite fun feeling the resistance automagically adjust itself on the trainer depending on the terrain in zwift!   :D

Delivery of frame and wheels from Alpkit has been arranged. There’s a lack of axles, but I can be getting on with headset and bottom bracket at least.

No, despite going to 3 bike shops. Not a single example of any of the usual best sellers on just about every online cycling emporium. And no they weren’t weirdo specialist funnybike shops. So bollocks to that for now, I’m using the one* off another bike.

2nd hand frame and seat post and front brake for less than 50% the rrp of a new frame plus recent payday = me getting my wallet out... ;D

I did immediately spend £15 on a headset fix up for it though as this one had an exploded bearing in it.

Got it as a run-around and fixed crit race bike but who knows, might audax on it one day.

Nothing fancy.
Just a nice new rear rack for my 2008 Dawes Horizon! The old one was looking a bit skew-wiff, so I'm replacing it with a Tortec Expedition rear rack, which has the added benefit of separate pannier rails!  And a 90mm 7 degree stem to try and get the position on my road bike a bit better...  The 110mm +17 degree stem is a wee bitty too high, so hopefully the 90mm 7 degree stem should be a good un.

A pair of Conti Tour Ride tyres, in 700x37c, to replace my rather foostie looking 700x32c Marathon greenguards.

A new connector cable thing to connect my phone to the TV, because I can't see my spin classes being a good idea given the circumstances so it's time to dust off the turbo (and, annoyingly, I can't find the old cable anywhere). Next purchase: Zwift membership. :-\

Got this last week, it feels strangely hard, yet very supportive at the same time. Hopefully I have the weight to break it in quickly  ;D

Which actually come up 1mm narrower than my Marathon greenguards though! (31mm)  :o

Ordered a crank extractor. Both of mine have mushroomed at the tip and the last time I used one of them it damaged the end of the thread on the botttom bracket i was whipping out to find a size to order a new one. The BB went back in with a different crank bolt that could reach past the damaged thread.

Of course this was all back in 2015 and the cassette, chain, chain rings, bottom bracket and everything else are still in the boxes they came in

In all that time all I needed to really do was take the extractor to work and I could have lathed the tip and made a new end but of course now we're not at work. Which is why I've got time to do the above maintenance.

Anyway I was going to get a Park Tools one but it either seems to be out of stock or twice the price once you add postage compared to the BBB one I went for. I know I know, buy cheap buy twice but I've got the impression from somewhere that BBB tools aren't bad. We shall see.

And as to whether I'll finally change the drive train that's all worn gracefully into each other anytime soon we shall also see.

A couple of 26" inner tubes and a bottle cage Mount that'll go onto a seat tube or handlebar for the Airnimal, plus a pair of bib shorts to replace a rather threadbare pair.
