Samuel, aged 8 (a.k.a. mini postie) decided on Sunday he wanted to try and cycle 200miles in 7 days i.e. a week and as much as possible on his own  bike .

The story so far........

Monday, trip to the funfair at hayling , ride there using the old billy line ( havant to hayling railway line)=17.0 miles

Tuesday, off roading to kingley vale( loacl nature reserve)  picnic at the top, then down to Emsworth for a swim in the sea followed by dinner=23.0miles

Wednesday=morning ride out to woodmancote for cyclists meet, followed in the evening with a ride on the tandem to meet the audax club portsmouth Wednesday night pub ride, go via buriton, petersfield( stop for a fish and chip supper),east and west meon ,then down the old meon valley railway line to the roebuck inn. Get home at 10.30pm. 42.1miles on the tandem and total for the day=52.5 miles.

Stop him! NOW!  ;)
That (or something like that, in a slightly more crazy version, involving doing it in winter) was how "mimipips" http://minipips.blogspot.co.uk/ got started. And he's been dragging his dad round ever more crazy adventures ever since. Strathpuffer 24 solo aged 11 is the one I remember (they let him do it as long as his dad cycled with him).

More seriously, I hope mini postie has a lot of fun.

Friday=really enjoyed the downs link from shoreham to guildford a great day out with so much to see, cyclist cafe, old station's and a country park. Only downside was mini posties off, a straight tarmac bit in to guildford and his bike went from under him,
Shocked, then tears and a few cuts. Oh he was worried about his little finger and not the blood.  Seemed fine afterwards and was soon cycling again .

Train home and he decided we would get off a stop early and ride the long way home and could wait to show mum his war wounds.= 46.4miles.
