Listening to BBC 6 Music via a computer

I do the above both at home and at work.
At home I need to sign in to the beeb.
At work I do not.
Why is this so?
At home I'm using a Mac.
At work a Windows PC.

Jurek, one guesses that at work you are using a proxy. SO the Beeb 'sees' everyone at your work as coming from the same IP Address. I may be wrong.
