HP Pavillion 15 cd056sa memory upgrade

My 13 year old son is considering buying one of these but wants to know if he can upgrade the memory. It’s not listed on the Crucial tool so does anyone know if it’s possible?

The laptop supports up to 2 x 8GB DDR4-2400 SODIMMs which are described as non-customer accessible/non-upgradeable, however the service guide does describes how to replace them if you are prepared to take things apart.
