How about thinking about Christmas already? A lock-in in the remotest pub of Great Britain? Snow snow snow? Who knows...
I've got a couple of days off work and fancy organising a Tan Hill Overnighter. [clicky]

14th December. It is a Friday.
They have camping. They have rooms.
They have beer. They have food.
I'm committed and I've booked a room.

Who is in?

Expect cycling. Expect COR.
Expect FUN of types I, II, IIIa and IIIb.
Shall we ride together or do we each need to take a completely different route to the top - no sharing routes?

I'll see if I can persuade the current Mrs Socks, in which case we'll use the camper van. If not I can book a room. Depending on the weather of course - I'm not a fan of cycling in snow / ice, the only times that I've fallen off (so far) have been in those conditions.

I've just requested annual leave that day, getting in there early before people start organising work Christmas stuff (the reason I didn't make it last year)!

Just a heads-up: I'm not making bookings or anything.

If you fancy a bunk room, double bed room, or simply camping near Deano you'll need to contact Tan Hill directly. This event is looking popular and more people seem to be planning a day off work.

Bumpity bump bump... if you think you fancy a Christmas yacf gathering at Tan Hill you ought to get booking, I believe we're starting to fill the place. If you like home comforts you'll need to be quick... or it is camping with the hardcore set.
