Quite a few fans come to him via funerals. At the height of his fame in the 60s many resolved to have this at some point in the service.

As a good Catholic it's appropriate that Jake wrote two great songs for two of the sacraments, the other is Lah-di-dah, about weddings.

It's folk music certainly, but it's also a sort of rap, which gives it wide appeal.

My parents were always going on about 'breasts like apples' and 'breasts of alabaster'. Apparently it didn't take much to amuse them in those days....
