I'm a big fan of Ecclesiastes too - but perhaps not helpful at a funeral? Or maybe it is. All the rivers run into the sea and yet the sea is not full. Vanity of vanity, everything is vanity.
I really appreciate all the poetry bring shared here, I hope it is useful to others too. It doesn't have to be religious poetry to be meaningful at a funeral. I've heard some helpful reflections at a variety of funerals.
What I'm finding helpful in this thread is the shared experience: instead of digging through tonnes of junk poetry to find the good stuff.
