Rehashed songs
« on: 22 May, 2018, 10:41:11 am »
I heard I'll Make Love To You by Boyz II Men on the radio this morning and initially mistook it for The End Of the Road, so similar are the melodies.

In the same vein, I present
Born To Be My Baby and We Weren't Born To Follow by Bon Jovi
Frederick and Because The Night by Patti Smith
School Days and No Particular Place To Go by Chuck Berry

Any others?

Mountain Greenery/Fings ain't wot they used to be was the classic example. B. Levin tore into L. Bart over that one.

Yebbut that's not quite the same because it was just a teensy bit of plagiarism.  My point is an artiste or ensemble rehashing one of their own songs.

I'll add AC/DC but they make a lot out of not a lot and it works fine imo
