I pity the poor LBS owner who quotes for a new chain without seeing the bike ;D

Good luck riding that up* to the Butt in any sort of wind.

*or back from, the day I rode from Stornoway to the Butt of Lewis I flew out but coming back was a very different matter. I was running out of cadence going out and coming back was running out of gears I could pedal.

With aero fairing on rear wheel! Or is it a skirt guard?  :D

Hair guard; I don't trust my hair to stay tied up properly in the presence of a headrest, so enclosing the wheel is safer and much cooler.  Everyone seemed happy that it qualified as 'unfaired'.

A proper aerodynamic tailbox would be nice, but that's somewhat outside my skillset.

HPVelotechnik[1] chainguard, bought from Toxy[2] (so I've no idea who actually makes them), bought last year: http://www.toxy-liegerad.de/Components-spares-accessories/Chain-drive/Chain-ring-cover::100244000.html is the item, though their photo isn't completely accurate.  Fits between the BB and the frame.

[1] It's exactly the same as the one that was factory-fitted to my Streetmachine, only it's had fewer occasions to guard the chain from things so still has all its paint.  It's one I'd recommend as it does an excellent job of keeping oil off things as well as preventing you from sawing people in half.  The ICE-style guards are more of an oil hazard, but do serve as a safe lifting point.  Comedy DIY chainring guards are a BHPC staple.
[2] They have a website you can just order things from with a credit card.  Almost unheard of in the recumbent world.

You know how cyclists sometimes drive to events and discover they've forgotten their bike shoes?  He'd forgotten to bring a jersey.  After weighing up the relative merits of riding flat out for 50 minutes in the sun in a flappy cotton T-shirt, he evidently decided to go for the comedy sunburn approach.

I wouldn't qualify mine as being "properly" aerodynamic, but it certainly didn't make the bike any slower. :)

Yes, it's an M5 M Racer.  Not my bike per se, it belongs to the University of Liverpool and said Liverpooligans who are busying themselves with ARION4 now.
