I will be there but have some questions:

Will this be an unbridled session with people singing and dancing?
Does the Wobbas Down take American Express?
Will I be able to put two words together the next morning?

I may pop along but don't actually know any of you! It would be nice to meet some of the local contingent and talk cycling. How on earth will I recognise you lot?

Beards? (I have one at the moment anyway!) The clack of cleats? Jaunty good looks?

Walk into pub, look for a bunch of jaded neer do wells that look like they are homeless drinkers

Does that not describe most people in a Wetherspoons? :p

If I make it out (I am very lazy and antisocial) I will keep an eye out for Pete Mas and also Marcus- I know what Marcus looks like, even if he doesn't know who I am!

I'll be coming there straight from work, and having a bite to eat at the pub, say about 7.30pm onwards, if anyone is there early. Have put this on the Kingston Wheelers website as well.

I will try for the seats on the left as you enter the pub.

Saw where the venue is, and what do I do? Check out what beers Wetherspoons have on! Gawd. Anyway, it appears they have a healthy selection.

Yep - if you spot someone dancing with the locals, demonstrating the usage of condoms as saddle protection or any other manner of bad habits he has, you will know Hummers. At that point, I suggest you reverse direction and run to the hills.
