Arrived today. It's always good to collect a medal.

The delay has been down to waiting for a special commemorative enamel badge which the VC167 has had made to accompany the cards. This has now been done and everyone will find the badge enclosed with the card. They were posted last Friday by 2nd Class as the badges thickness required a Large letter stamp. They should land in riders letter boxes this week.

I didnt manage to ride this but Ive only heard good things about it.  Id expect nothing less from those involved.

No for this particular badge there was no need to tick a box and pay anything it's free and funded by VC167. All the Riders cards I posted last Friday included a badge.

I can't claim credit for the idea which was down to fboab who thought it was a nice idea, then sourced the artwork from Alwyn and ordered the badges.

Just opened mine after a short delay; the odd shaped envelope made us think it was a letter bomb so we had to have a controlled explosion outside. It turns out the enamel badges are quite tough...

Anyway thanks VC167 for the badge and to andyC and helpers for an extremely enjoyable National 400.
